This service provides full-color, full-page displays of over 340 newspapers from more than 60 countries, in 35 languages. The collection includes approximately 45 days of each newspaper.
Note: This resource works best as a display of the layout of these newspapers; better tools for actually searching the texts of contemporary newspapers include LexisNexis Academic and Factiva.
Usage Tips: Finding a Newspaper   The "My Newspapers" option on the right side of the opening screen displays a selection of U.S. newspapers, listed in the order in which they were most recently updated.
To see a list of all available newspapers, point your browser cursor to the image in the extreme upper-right corner of the initial screen. Note that you can use this option to list newspapers by country, by language, or alphabetically by moving the cursor over the desired list.

Navigating   Once you click on any particular newspaper, you can:

  • move from page to page by using the and arrows at the bottom of the screen.
  • zoom in by clicking on the page image. Once you do that, you have activated the "zoom level" option available at the bottom of the screen, ranging from (least magnification) to (most magnification). You may find that clicking on the option closest to the makes it easiest to navigate and read a page.
  • maneuver on a page by clicking anywhere on the page and dragging the cursor. Caution: Dragging the cursor in this program causes the page to move in the opposite direction.
  • move to another issue of the same newspaper, use the small calendar in the navigation bar at the top of the page.

Loggin Out   When you have finished, be sure to log-out by clicking on the icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.
